It gives me (no pun intended) a lot of food for thought; I may want to write something about it, though I really don't the knowledge base to address the way you do.<BR/><BR/>You might be interested in <A HREF="http://www.harpers.org/archive/2005/04/0080501" REL="nofollow">this piece</A> by Bill McKibben, which takes up many similar themes as your post in connection to the Cuban experience with "revolutionary" agriculture.
